GOLDEN (Above) Maverick McNealy, from Portola Valley, makes his pro debut at October's PGA Tour Safeway Open at Napa's Silverado Resort. While at Stanford, McNealy earned the 2017 Mark H. McCormack Gold Medal as the best amateur in the world, and also received the 2017 Ben Hogan Award as the best college golfer. (Right) Sacramento's Cameron Champ followed up his first college victory at Texas A&M in the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational last season by winning the 2017 Trans-Mississippi Amateur by four strokes.
